SAT

The SAT is a test used by universities and colleges to determine how likely a student is to succeed in pursuing a course of higher education. It is neither an intelligence test nor a test of how "good" a student may be. It is important to understand that having a 4.0 or higher GPA is no guarantee of success on the test, nor is a less-than-stellar GPA a sign that "failure" is inevitable. The SAT is a thing unto itself, requiring a specific set of skills and strategies for optimal performance. That is what Gold Star Tutoring focusses on teaching to students.

We are often asked whether the SAT is more difficult than the SAT. The simple answer is "no", but we have answered this rather complicated question in more depth here, and suggest you read this response.

The SAT has ten sections, including a mandatory 25-minute essay. The specific order of sections varies from test to test and person to person.
